It's Tuesday. Time for a Tempest Pictures weekly report. Today we'll be looking at a few ways to increase site appeal, and we'll be going over some local and national news concerning independent film.

Looks like a large amount of you think the new site is awesome! Thanks for the feedback concerning everything. Keep in mind, we're always open to letting your voice be heard. If you want to give a more detailed opinion, you know how to contact us. We figure another few days tinkering around with small things, and we'll be set for awhile.

We were quite busy filling up the site feed last week. If you've been following along, you got a nice taste of both DVD reviews, and a Friday Flick. Check them out if you still haven't read through them. Vince will be writing our Friday Flick Review for this week, and we'll let you know what movie will get the spotlight via twitter. Speaking of which...follow us, already! We'll be cranking out more content through this week, and RSS/Twitter will make sure you're the first to know when our new stuff hits the web.

Current Projects News: Still in Preproduction for the feature. We'll probably have the 'We're Still Writing' sign hanging on our front door for a few more weeks. Don't worry...we're actually starting to get really excited on what we're coming up with.

Other than that, both 'Syringe' (Extended Version) and 'Fallen Angels' are hitting some film festivals around the U.S. in the next few months. We'll update their respected pages with show times when available.

We're also putting together a really exciting new project for local filmmakers in Springfield that we're hoping will become a hit. Specifics are coming. (yeah...we're famous for dropping hints and making you wait...it's just our style.)

• The hilarious folks at Fair City News were on the local Fox Morning show. Chad Harris is a seriously great guy, and if you haven't seen the site yet, click here to check it out. You don't want to miss it. You can become a fan on Facebook, and get up to the minute news concerning the site. They've got the press clip uploaded as well. Take a look.
• The Missouri Film Info site has an... 'interesting' article on Penelope Cruz. Click here to read it...if you're into that kind of thing. ( ^_^' )
• We thought we'd give a shout out to our buddy David at reddikan Productions. He's a local movie maker who specializes in weddings and special events. Check him out on his main site, and become a fan on Facebook. His stuff is great. (Here's a reason to keep updating, buddy!)
• The folks at Full Sail University have an open house for their acclaimed media school on September 13th. It's a hot spot for a lot of people in the industry, so if you're in the Orlando area, drop by if you have the opportunity. It's definitely worth the time.
