It's Tuesday. From now on, we've dedicated the third day of every week to updating the site and informing everyone of what's going on at Tempest Pictures. Without further ado, let's jump right into the thick of things:
We're still tinkering around (and getting feedback) with the new site layout. There are still a few blank spots that we plan on ironing out by the end of this week. We put up a poll for everyone to give us feedback concerning the site. Drop a ballot in the box and let us know what you think. Got any suggestions for the site? Send us an email and let us know. We're more than happy to take all criticisms and critiques.
On that note, last Wednesday we posted an Opinion Article by Austin concerning criticism in the independent film industry. If you haven't already, be sure to check it out, and throw out a comment telling us what you think. We haven't really made up a set rule concerning Opinion Articles (like when they'll be posted), but we have some more on the way.
Current Projects News: We're hard at work doing pre-production for a new feature film. Writing is taking up quite a bit of our time, and we apologize if this puts a damper on new content, but we want to make sure that it's done right.
We have a few behind-the-scenes clips of our experience with the Fallen Angels pilot that we'll be uploading on the Youtube Channel soon. The first one will center around the auditioning process, and finding our main actors.
We've also upgraded our 'intro-reel' for the company. You can get a small taste of it on the new header banner. The new one focuses more on a 'storm' concept rather than the ominous 'moon'.
General News: Some of you have found out prematurely, but we're obviously giving the company a fresh 'reboot' in an effort to become more active online than we've been in the past. As a result, we've gotten rid of a few 'annoyances', and we've replaced them with some cooler and easier tools.
- As of last week, our Seattle telephone line is no longer functioning. A lot of people didn't like the 'multiple numbers' setup, and we've listened to your opinions. If you have one of our older business cards, please disregard the top phone number. The lower Missouri number is our main number until further notice. Don't blame us if you call up the old number and suddenly get connected to a 'Singles Line'...we're no longer using it. Don't like phones? Need something faster than email? No problem. We're looking to install a 'live-chat' feature in the sidebar sometime soon. Until then, follow us on twitter.
- The 'Rock On Music Video Competition' in Springfield announced winners last week. Info can be found at the Missouri Film Alliance of Springfield site.
- Other than that, local film news has been pretty quiet this week. What's the deal, folks? 'Get to doin'!'
