Well, we've reached the end of 2008 and face the beginning of a new year, and with it, we're bringing quite a few changes! Here's a rundown of some things Tempest Pictures will be presenting in the first quarter of 2009:
1. New Site Layout
Right off the bat, you'll obviously notice the new site layout. We've tried to keep it as simple to navigate as possible, while still adding a bit of our own flair. All of the site pages have been updated to coincide with the new year, and we've added quite a few new and exciting things to the mix!
2. New Youtube Channel, and 'Syringe' enters 5-figure digits!
We plan on pushing a lot more online videos this next year, including videos from behind the production scenes. If you've ever been interested in what goes on behind closed doors at Tempest, we plan on showing you in 2009! Whether it's exclusive content, special previews, or even an online web series (*or two*), Tempest Pictures' Youtube Channel is the place to look! Be sure to subscribe today, as well as favorite/comment on any videos we have listed. Our new goal is to reach a total of 1000 subscribers by April, so let's get to work!
On that note, a big thanks to all the fans, who managed to push the original upload of 'Syringe' from SATO 48 up to over 10,000 views! Comments, ratings, and favorites are still appreciated, as we want 'Syringe' to be viewed as a perfect 'example' film for the 2009 Contest.
3. New Blog!
As you'll notice from the tabs up above, we've registered a new production blog. We plan to use this blog for various team members to post interesting tidbits from the set, and to help give everyone an insight into our production habits. This will co inside heavily with our new Youtube Channel, as we seek to give more and more behind-the-scenes access throughout the year.
Furthermore, we don't simply want it to become a Tempest Pictures 'exclusive' blog, but rather a source of ongoing and upcoming information concerning television/video production throughout Missouri. The largest complaint we hear from our fellow filmmaking peers in the area is that we're all out-of-the-loop, and news doesn't circulate fast enough.
Tempest Pictures hopes to fix that in 2009. Stay connected with all of the latest film-happenings in the area by visiting our blog and reading through our news feeds, and weekly team updates. Be sure to send us any information you may have concerning Missouri filmmaking, and we'll put it up on the site.
4. Projects, Projects, Projects!
We're planning on going all out this year, with several new things in the works. Many of you have already caught wind of the television pilot that was advertised at the Motion Media Expo, and we haven't dropped any plans. We're still rolling ahead with production, including the open casting call we've been advertising since mid-December.
Other projects in the works include a feature film, online content, and a very special-something that you might hear about as soon as second quarter.
2009 promises to be a wonderful year of video production, and we can't wait to get to work!
I think you did a wonderful job! Keep up the work!
